Sunny Visits Adelphia Stadium and Meets Liz On Hallowed Ground!!

I knew Liz and I would get along just  fine when she suggested that we meet at the Shoney's by Adelphia Stadium!  Hell, she can even hear the roar of the crowd during games... lucky girl!!  The stadium was quiet and deserted except for maintenance crews power-washing the front sidewalks, but that's ok... I got to see it up close, anyhow.  We browsed the pro shop for a while, and I bought a new shirt and a keychain for Trevor, and I had Cat take my picture... ("Honey? It's... um... an empty stadium."  "Yeah, so?"  "Ooooh-kay then." *click*)  We even took Trevor back a souvenir Pepsi can that had a dent on it from being dropped on the parking lot!  *grin*

 As it does every time I drive into or through Nashville, it rained.  This particular time, it stormed, to be more precise.  But it cleared up just as we reached Adelphia Coliseum, so it was ok.  The skies were still gray and dreary, but it didn't spoil my mood.  The stadium is soooo cool!  I wish we could have gone in there, but at least there were no cars around, so we could stop and look and drive slowly around it, taking pictures, without being fussed at or run over.

Of course, we did more than our share of driving around it because I couldn't figure out how to get over to the Shoney's (which we could see). I guess it was one of those "you can't get  there from here" situations!  We finally managed, after circling three times, I think!

Now, see... one of these days, I'm gonna be RIGHT THERE ^^^ watching the game in my own little seat, cheering like a madwoman!!  Woo hoo!
