Cat and Sunny's Night Out

Cat decided to take me on a 'date' today! I went out and bought tickets for Men In Black II, figuring it might be sold out or something. We even got kinda dressed up for the occasion. Dustin took pictures of us... we look like the hippie version of American Gothic!

We enjoyed the movie, but both of us had to agree with Widgett and several other people who were basically very disappointed in it. I think the humor and the action and the characters were all there, they were just foundering around a story that was a little weak. Not enough to pan it totally, but when you are coming up on the heels of a movie like MIB I, you kinda expect something with a little more... I dunno... heart. But, as I said, we were able to enjoy it anyway.
After the movie we had planned to have a seafood dinner, so we went down to The Surfish Station. We got WAY too much food (leftovers.. yay!) but really enjoyed it. Soon after we got there, they started Karaoke! It didn't take TOO much prodding to get Cat up there... he sang "The Origami Song," as we call it (Inside Out).
Cat tricked me into singing, by just signing me up! Of course, a couple of absolutely perfect Tanqueray martinis fired up my courage as I waited my turn.. and then I ran into a gaggle of my friends from Topeka's!!
Here you have *from left to right* Josh, Joe, Robin, Benny, and Troy. Funny thing is, they are five of my absolutely favorite people there, too! I begged Joe and Robin to come up and sing with me, since I know they are both very talented! Aha! I'm smart like that! Cat took a couple of pictures of us, but fortunately (hee hee!) they didn't come out very well...
All in all it was a lot of fun. Of course, I always have fun with my honey, but it is really nice to get out together every once in a while. I know he's much more of a homebody than I am, so it always makes me feel special when he takes me out!
