Here's wishing everyone a Happy Independence Day!  It's been an eventful year in our country; one that none of us will soon forget.  We took a horrible blow,  felt a collective pain and loss the likes of which we hadn't even fathomed in most of our memories.  And yet, we pulled together as a people.

It is my hope this year that our country will find justice, and a way back to peace.  I pray that violence will end, and brotherhood and understanding will prevail.  Some say this hope is naive; I say, without hope for a brighter tomorrow, we are doomed to the darkness of yesterday.

Alas, it seems this year that all the fun holidays fall on days that I have to work. :(  Today is no different.  However, that never stops my family from celebrating... even if our house is still mostly in boxes!  Click below to see pictures from our festivities.
