Recognizing the Goddess in the world around me has never been a difficult thing.  Perhaps part of the reason for the resurgence of Goddess-centered spirituality is the fact that Her presence is so easily felt, sensed, intuited, and even seen in all of Creation.  We relate to the Goddess on many levels, and in different ways, but her Call is hard to ignore, even for those who would deny her very existence.

When speaking of the Goddess and God, I speak of the polarities within the Divine as a whole.  If you asked me ten years ago, "Do you worship a particular God or Goddess?"  I would have said no; I related to Deity in a very general sense, not having been called to the service of any particular manifestation of Deity.  I still believe that the "Universal Power," or "Creative Force," or "Higher Being," or "Ultimate Entity," or whatever you choose to call it, is an integrated whole:  One with all things, and Within all things... manifest and immanent in all of creation.  However, as my experience with this power has grown, so has my understanding of how this "Beingness" can be accessible to each of us.  Because of the infinte nature of Deity, our finite minds require some delineation or definition in order to be able to relate to it; otherwise, we might as well say that The Great Divine is a transcendent being, aloft and aloof and distanced from the universe and all that is within it.  Therefore, it makes sense that this Divinity would make itself available to us in a form or forms that we are able to understand (to some extent), to call upon, to express ourselves to, to worship, to commune with, to seek guidance from, to give gratitude to, to invoke, to follow.

Therefore, The Goddess is an expression of certain aspects of this Divinity, usually considered to be the 'feminine' aspects.
